#34 (EN): Commissioning II, Survey, Austin Power
Have a Beautiful weekend!
The hay bales are blowing through the aisles of the companies in Bavaria - it's vacation time.
+++ COMMISSIONING II +++
The second part of the commissioning video (No. 12 Commissioning) is on YouTube.
Vivian and Alexandru from Sono give insights into their work. Vivian is mega motivated by the whole "Sonoversum", which comes across clearly. Alexandru is quite new at it, and as a project engineer in the E/E team, he covers the topics of cables and wirings.

+++ EVALUATION BIDI SURVEY +++
Last week we published a small survey on the subject of "bidirectional charging", with the aim of finding out what is currently going on at home. The goal is to develop a "sample solution" on how to integrate the Sion and bidirectional charging perfectly.
More than 300 fully completed forms with comments in the German version alone, which is far more than expected for such a special and complex topic. Thanks!
For the sample solution, I was interested in a market overview, and this is sufficient for that. Now I can get to work on the evaluation, I'll leave it open until tonight if anyone still likes it.
A few initial findings:
17% don't have a power connection at the pitch and can't set one up.
91% of participants already have a solar system or plan to build one, including some with balcony power plants.
18 % have already installed more than 10 kW peak.
The electricity from the roof - in addition to the house - goes to an e-car for 50%, to a heat pump for 50%, and 37% have home storage.
60 % do not have a home energy storage system and do not plan to have one, the Sion will then be the home storage.
56 participants already have an emergency power-capable home storage installation that can run in island mode, some even three-phase.
5% say they do not have cell phone reception at the site.

+++ SONO SOLAR +++
"Save costs and reduce emissions": an update on Sono Solar was published as a blog post. The solar technology is to be licensed to other companies. In doing so, Sono aims to contribute to the transformation of the global transportation sector and make vehicles more efficient and sustainable. The mission: Solar on every vehicle!
If you would like to experience Sono Solar and the team live, we recommend IAA Transportation in Hanover. Sono Solar will be in hall 26, booth C02, from September 20 to 25.

+++ RISE WITH SAP +++
Jona, Gerd from Sono as well as Jeremy (implementation partner from Dortmund) inform at an SAP event about the successes of the SAP implementation at Sono.
For Gerd, Head of Supply Chain, this is already the fourth SAP implementation in his professional career. Quote: "You can't build a car without an ERP system. With thousands of individual parts, that's not controllable without a powerful ERP system,...".

+++ FUN FACT +++
Not funny, but an impressive example: There are five glaciers in Germany - and by 2030 none at all - say the experts. The total area of all five glaciers - all located in Bavaria - is now only about the size of Munich's Oktoberfest! Todays sad fun fact.
A picture of the Bavarian glacier that will remain the longest - the Höllentalferner:
