#21: Status, App Screens, Valoe (EN)

Happy Sunday. There is currently not much communication, this is why todays update is a little shorter. I hope you enjoy your days off. I have started the lawn mowing season and now I don't move a millimeter for the time being., just relax and watch the garden A perfect time to go fish for findings in the Dropbox about Sono:

+++ STATUS +++

According to the roadmap on the homepage, it is understandable that things are a little quieter. The second quarter has to major tasks in terms of vehicle development:

  • The last bugs of the SVC2 have to be resolved before the test drives start again.

  • There are only four months left to make changes to the final Sion design before it has to be frozen to start production planing.

+++ APP UPDATE +++

Team Sono Digital continues to work on the app and presents current screenshots. Technically everything is included, with the design you could perhaps go a step further instead of the Fiverr design. At the moment I think the Polestar app is great, simple, clear, Swedish design.

+++ VALOE +++

Valoe, the Solar partner of Sono, has presented its quarterly report. Interesting finds:

  • Highlight is the deal with Sono for 2.2 million from April 2021

  • In May (this month) there was an agreement with “Sin Cars”, an electric sports car manufacturer from the UK and Bulgaria. In this context, a price tag is mentioned: “The price for a ViPV system for a vehicle in mass production was agreed between 2,000 and 4,000 euros, depending on the model”.

+++ SPAC TRACK +++

The IPO rumors don't stop. I get emails almost every day whether I know any details about IPO plans - or have any hints in the Dropbox. If I find clear evidence on the Internet, then of course I'll post it here. I am completely unsuitable as an investment guru.

Reuters raised the issue of “SPAC” as an option in March. SPACs are listed “shell companies” that collect money in order to merge with a startup company and bring it to the stock exchange. There are over 350 active SPACs looking for targets. A SPAC must find a company and merge - or dissolve within 24 months. Such are the rules. There are websites that do nothing but sniff which SPACs may have chosen which company. Sono is also listed on “SpacTrack”, but nothing precise is known there either.

+++ FUN FACT +++

An interesting aspect from the early days of Laurin and Jona can be found in the Münchner Wochenanzeiger: Jürgen Werner (Sales Manager Münchner Wochenanzeiger) fondly remembers Laurin and Jona:

“I've known Laurin Hahn for seven years as a delivery guy for the “Sendlinger Anzeiger”. He distributed areas near his place of residence, he also took over auxiliary areas on short notice, whenever his time allowed. Until the end of August 2015, Laurin ran three areas with a total of 2,500 newspapers per week. I know Laurin as a nice, friendly, courteous and tidy young man and delivery person, as well as his friend and colleague Jona Christians. Jonah was recommended by Laurin. From June 2013 to mid-August 2015, he ran two areas with around 1,400 newspapers per week. He also took on auxiliary areas when there was a need. "

Experience like this helps to stay grounded in life. And it also reminds you that every product has to be delivered sometimes, only then the cycle is complete :-)
